Naming Ceremonies

A naming ceremony is where family and friends join together and publically announce the name of their child, welcoming them into their community.

Whilst this ceremony is usually for younger children, it can be carried out at any time and for various reasons, such as when two families join together and they wish to share their commitment to each other, as they begin their new life as a family unit.

Within the ceremony the parents share their promises with their child and also there may be allocated guide parents, mentors or guardians, who also declare their commitment to being part of the child’s upbringing, acting as mentors for their life ahead.

Each ceremony is personalised to the individual families requirements and other readings and ceremony elements can easily be included.
